About Us
The Founding Principals at Solar Power Development Partners have been creating new technology companies and products for over two decades. Previous to Solar Power Development Partners, Dr. John Barnes was CTO at Solar Power Assets, a solar power energy provider, VP of Engineering at Ahura Energy, a concentrating solar company, and in Business Development for Signet Solar, an a-Si solar panel manufacturer. He has also served in VP level positions in Engineering and Business Development at large semiconductor and hardware companies, including National Semiconductor, Fujitsu, and Motorola.
Senior Development Partner John Vidal concentrates on multi-MW solar PV projects in the Southwestern U.S. Vidal is principal and founder of V.E. Solar Power. Prior to entering the Solar business, Vidal has held Business Development and Product Marketing positions at large semiconductor and Intellectual Property companies such as Rambus, National Semiconductor and Intel Corporation.
Senior Development Partner Rajan Kapur concentrates on solar projects in other parts of the U.S. and in India with other associates. He was the CEO of Larankelo, a microinverter company prior to this effort, and was also in the electronics industry in senior postions in companies such as Cirrus Logic.
Solar Power Development Partners has access to a staff of nearly 12 professionals committed to delivering unparalleled service in the implementation of large solar energy projects. We are doing large MW solar power PV projects with other development partners such as Solvida Energy. Dr. Barnes also serves as the VP of Utility Scale Projets for Commercial Solar Design, LLC.
